BioI am a writer and traveler, crossing boundaries, between countries and between the worlds. My life is steeped in folklore, myth, and ancient tales.
I live in the North of England, near Pendle Hill, and am currently at work on a new novel about the Pendle Witches. A country-dweller, my life is ruled by the rhythms of the land. When I look out my window, I see hawthorn trees with tufts of sheep wool hanging from the branches like prayer rags. I see magpies every day.

heathen_goddess. I have little patience for artificial hierarchy and titles. I walk the land and try to live a life that is real. All of a piece. My 'power animals' are not mental constructs but part of the fabric of life. I ride horses. I know where to find the badger setts. As far as shamans go, I want to be a shaman like the poet Ted Hughes, who was born 20 miles from where I live. My soul rises and merges with the hawk and owl. Nature is my mistress and teacher, my Lady embodied in the land.
